International Quitline Institute (IQI)

The IQI is a 5-day residential training program on quitline development and improvement. The training is a collaborative effort of Alere Wellbeing (formerly Free & Clear), the University of Washington (UW), American Cancer Society (ACS), Pfizer Medical Education Group, National Cancer Institute (NCI), and other partners. Alere Wellbeing is the largest provider of quitline services in the world.

Deconstructing DASH: How Your Workforce Would Benefit from America's #1 Rated Diet

In January, The U.S. News & World Report released its list of Best Diets for 2012. A panel of 22 nationally recognized experts in diet, nutrition, obesity, food psychology, diabetes, and heart disease rated each of 25 diets in seven categories using the following criteria: how easy it is to follow, its ability to produce short-term and long-term weight loss, its nutritional completeness, its safety, and its potential for preventing and managing diabetes and heart disease. The DASH Diet, the government-endorsed Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension, came in first place for the second year running.
